Apologies for the typo in the previous email – subject line is amended. Today’s ODT article suggesting plans to stop international visitors driving to Milford Sound have been shelved by MOP is not correct. MOP’s park and ride option to reduce traffic into Milford Sound is still underway with feasibility testing.New information gathered during research might show some things are not feasible, it remains the MOP Board’s role to make recommendations, and for the Ministers to decide on the final solution. Ministers have been very clear that they want to see data in the business case outlining the pros and cons of any proposal in order to enable good decision making. The business case with options and advice will be presented on 30-June to the Ministers. We are keen to hear from you as we continue the testing and business case preparation, either in person in our Te Anau hub, or via email.
